Happy Birthday Map Libs! Oh the dark and twisted adventures this one year old has wrought. Thanks for joining me on this continuing adventure. This months magnificent winning map submission is all about undying love. . . . . . Kind of.
Congratulations to Rosco the Magnificent! and thank you for your submission. I’d be curious to see if more parties go in stealthy with this rescue mission or lite it up and salt the ashes. Love to see a Banshee. I don’t think they’re used enough.
Here is this months blank map/ canvas for your brilliance.
I guess I’m really feeling the pull of the great outdoors. So who built this treehouse of horrors? What brings the party there? What’s the deal with that door into the trunk? It’s all up to you.
submit your ideas for the blank map by clicking “message Chris Kind” below and message me in plain text format by May 15th for your shot at ETERNAL GLORY!
A few clarifications
Don’t feel like you need to have an entry for every point on the map.
Don’t limit yourself to the points that I have listed. example: “the hallway between d7 and d10 smells like freshly baked muffins”, “the path leading to d1 is a winding and overgrown briar patch”.
Be as concise as possible. It will help things fit on one page and make things easier for the game master that is running the map.
No stats are required for anything. The maps are intended to be system agnostic.
Try and make the dungeon cohesive. What was this places original purpose? How did it end up in it’s current state? What is it used for now?
If you would like feedback on your ideas before submitting them to me join folks in the Map Libs Chat.
If there isn’t a cohesive story being told by the submission, I will need to bend the pieces I am given to serve a story.
